We're exploring ways to reduce the environmental impact of concrete production, which currently contributes significantly to global carbon emissions. Our approach involves using locally sourced materials, including shells from kina (sea urchins), to create concrete mixes that perform well while treading more lightly on our planet.
Ocean Restoration
Parts of our coastline are facing challenges from kina barrens—areas where sea urchins have overgrazed kelp forests. We're working on ways our concrete production can help address this issue, potentially supporting the restoration of these important marine habitats.
